About the event
Add a personal, handmade touch to your Christmas table with a special day of Indian block printing at Lavenham Guildhall, cared for by the National Trust.
Set in the heart of one of England’s best-preserved medieval villages, Lavenham Guildhall provides a beautiful and particularly fitting setting for a day of textile printing, with its history closely connected to Lavenham’s historic wool and cloth trade. For this special event, the Guildhall will be closed to the public, giving our small group of just 16 participants private access to the whole building for the day.
During this full-day workshop, you’ll use traditional hand-carved Indian wooden printing blocks to create your own table runner and four coordinating napkins – a beautiful set of table linen to bring out for Christmas gatherings and celebrations for years to come.
